Yesterday was a bright and sunny day.
Today, it's been raining continuously
because that's what happens when
Ten Thousand Angels Cry.
Let us all pray for
Pope John Paul II
and for the man that God will choose to succeed him.

??sNoW sToRm WaRnInG??
hey all...so did you hear?? even with the beautiful weather we are having outside RIGHT this moment, CP24 is flashing that there's going to be a SNOW STROM...or a warning at least!! like uncle jess, dad has washed and packed away our winter jackets!! luckily i hid some of my sweaters...i guess i'll be wearing layers tomorrow!! HE HE...NO SHARING!!
anyhow, so i went to Dr. Bollozos today!! yesterday on the way home from the hospital...i noticed that my neck was getting a little itchy and red...well, i didn't mind it...so i went on with my night. mom and dad cooked this AMAZING chicken dinner...and well, although the chicken was amazing, it made my neck kinda swell with red patches...there's something about chicken that aggrivates rashes/allergies even more!! anyhow, there was no conclusion to what may have caused this rash...so i was prescribed a cream and an anti-histamine...tear.
so...i hope everyone's week was good...mine was, except for my disease...and i hope ya'll have an amazing weekend too...ate sheila...jacob popped into my head today...i was in my car driving back to the hosp when i all of a sudden got "gitil" and was reminded of jacob...PLEASE give him a big hug and kiss for me...gosh how i miss him...i hope he hasn't forgotten us!!
lastly...let us all pray for Pope John Paull II...he is very ill, and the news today have been mainly focused on him. i was watching CP24 and i got REALLY mad when the host of the show was talking about the Pope as if he had already passed...but he hasn't...so PLEASE all pray for him...pray for him either way...he has been a godsend and an inspiration to all. his strength and determination to spread the word of God to everyone no matter race or religion has been inspiring. a lady who called in on CP24 told them that although she was not catholic she still felt sad and is sad for the whole catholic community...she agreed in the fact that the Pope has infact done and expressed the way of the Lord as best as he could...and that when the Pope is gone the catholic community will truly be affected and realize just how much he has done for us and how influential he has been.
anyhow, please pray and have hope...
have a good weekend all...i work 5:30-CL tonight and 3:00-9:00 on saturday if you guys plan on eating @ Swiss this weekend!!

Belated Easter Quote
From our Parish Priest's homily last Easter:
"For every Good Friday in someone's life, there is an Easter Sunday." - Father Octavio Beltran
Spring Part 2
Lest I am accused of being a whiner for blogging only about cold weather, let me say that the weather has been great the last two days. The mounds of hardened and dirtied snow on the ground all over the place have now either completely melted down or been reduced to wimpy little black humps … and the thaw goes on. Our backyard is now almost completely free of the icy stuff although the soil is still soft from all the ice-turned-water. I have no complaint about that. All this water will definitely help turn the grass green – which will start very soon, I hope.
I have also turned over my bulky winter jacket for a lighter one – which is great or not so great for my figure (speaking like a woman, sorry) depending on who’s looking. Momma says the light jacket shows my great tummy whereas the bulky one masks it. I see a different view. I look good in any jacket.
Have a good weather everyone.

hey all...i hope you all have been having a relaxing day on this Easter Sunday...the whole day has been very mellow and low key...a day of reflection and thanks...
anyhow, we went to mass today @ 11:30...BIG mistake...we should have gone A LOT earlier...we would have if mom & dad didn't come home until 3am from their SAKASACA party or me from a night out...anyhow, the church was PACKED!! even b4 the mass started...we ended up standing outside in the greeting area the whole time...but that's not the scary part...b/c the church was so full and people were still coming...the church got SOOO hot and people were passing out...one kid fainted on mom...i tried to catch him, but boy did he weigh 500lbs...when he was probably only like 100lbs!! it was SOOO scary...and then 5mins later another boy fainted, then another, then another...etc...it was CRAZY!! luckily there were RN's in the crowd...i could have lended a hand, but 5 people rushed to them already...i got SOOO nervous for some reason...i dunno...but today's mass was definitely a fire hazard!!
with all that was going around me...i was still able to listen to the mass...our priests sermon was insightful, inspiring and something to keep at heart...he was scolding those who came to church only on Christmas and Easter and also those who come every Sunday but are not there in spirit...i mean, i can relate...sometimes...i must admit...especially when deacon brian is giving the homily...i let my mind wander...but most of the time i am there reflecting...i sometimes get ridiculed or questioned by friends, co-workers, or acquaintances about me going to church and how they don't believe that i go by choice...i mean there was one point in my life where i thought it was by force, but i soon rejected that thought b/c i enjoy being there...what is 1hr of our life...we do SO many other things that are meaningless or "fun" in our lives...going to mass, sitting there listening to the word of God for 1hr is not nearly enough to be thankful that we are here being able to do the SO many meaningless or "fun" things we do to keep ourselves occupied on an everyday basis...therefore, going to mass should NOT be a chore, but a privilege that everyone should take advantage of!!
WOW...i didn't really know how i really felt about that topic...usually i just tell my friends that i go b/c i want to, but i never really give them a reason to why i do...
anyways, mom is cooking up a storm to bring to the Cabotaje's for Easter dinner...the house is SMELLY, but good SMELLY!!
topic change...my windshield has a crack on it...it hasn't spread since yesterday and i hope it STOPS!! or else ALL my tip money is gonna go to replacing it...BOOOO!!! i also just finished watching the INCREDIBLES!! that is the BEST movie ever!! it TOTALLY surpasses Finding Nemo now!! I am so glad i MADE my daddy buy me the movie!! he he...at least he got a case of 35 waters for 99cents out of it!! best movie...i SO recommend!!
anyhow, gotta go clean up the mess my mom made from cooking...i will see the Canadians in a few!! hello to everyone else and wish you could spend Easter with us!! BTW...mom cooked palabok and leche flan!! HA HA to those who can't have any!! come and visit and mom will surely cook you a batch all to yourself!!
