Twenty Years Young

Today, this cute little girl turns Twenty.

Dearest Tinay,

Happy Twentieth Birthday to you, cute little Sweetheart.

Well, your 2oth Birthday is a major milestone to you and to everyone who loves you, Tinay. Mom and Dad certainly think so. After all, it magically transforms you from being a teen-ager to ... what can I say, not a teen-ager. I am tempted to say, "to an adult", but I'm sure you have been seeing yourself as an adult, or at least, adult-thinking, since you were eighteen. Mommy and Daddy might agree with you on that but one thing is sure, you are their Baby and to them, you will always be a baby, their Baby. Tinay, that means a lot to us and I hope it means a lot to you too.

We might have a mini-feast celebrating your Birthday today but bear in mind that deep in our hearts (Mommy's, Daddy's, Mng Jan, Mng BJ, and Ali), we have a much grander rejoicing in your reaching this Milestone.

We hope and pray that you have a lot more Birthdays to come.

Love,

Daddy and Mommy.

P.S. I have to bring this up on this happy occasion: it is also the Twentieth Birthday of your Angel Twin, Anthony David. Happy Birthday to you where you are in Heaven, Anthony. Look after your twin sister, Cristina Marie, and the rest of us, will you?

Happy Birthday To You Auntie Zeny

You are getting older but who isn't?
You are now a loving Grandma of three,
But who isn't? (A lot!)
But age, by itself, does not really matter.
What's more important
Is the wisdom that comes with it.
There's more of the past to remember
To better enjoy the present
And to savor the prospect of the future.
Happy Birthday, Auntie Zeny!
We hope and pray that you will have
A very good day today
And that you will have a lot more days
Like this one, to come.
Love,
From All of Us

Birthdays in December

Our blogging community is going to celebrate quite a number of birthdays in the month of December, not to mention the birthday of Jesus on the25th. We started of course, by greeting Janice on her 25th birthday. We missed an earlier birthday in the process and we intend to make up for our omission.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MJAN!!

hey mjan...i just wanted to also take the opportunity to wish you a HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY on the blog...as being the outsider of your immediate fam and reading the blogs that both ur dad and bro have written for you, i can too agree that YOU ARE the coolest girl in town...

WOW 25 years on this earth...you have accomplished SO many and experienced SO much more than i have (well at least 2 more years ahead)...you and i share a lot of things in common and that is why i think i feel the closests to you...not having a bro or sis to lean on like you have with your's, i can recall times where i have gone to you for advice or just a person to talk to...and i know i can continue doing so for the rest of our lives...

all my cousins mean the world to me...you especially...you are never judging, always understaning, full of joy, a little tempermental (but that's you), you NEVER EVER give up when you want something...you STRIVE to reach your goals...something that i ALWAYS admired about you...when the tough gets going you deal with it and keep on moving...

mjan, although you have so many to lean on, NEVER forget that i am here too...you are the coolest...the last 25 years wouldn't have been this great if you weren't in it!! love you mjan!! and wishing you with MANY more!!

25 Years Ago Today....

Janice Bea was born.

Dearest Janice Bea,

Happy Birthday, to you Sweetheart.

As you turn twenty five, your Mom and I cannot help but look, not only at you, but at the two of us; and we come to a cold realization that we are growing old and even older. This is, of course, an inevitable progression of life, and nothing thinkable can be done to prevent it from marching on. We refuse to entertain the unthinkable. Instead, we hope and pray that we stay in this world a lot longer - even if we get to become a lot older - so that we can be around that much, to see you ( and your sisters and brother, and everyone else coming in the future) live your life. And it's not just to be of help if needed (you know that's a given), but to witness the successful and happy existence that we all pray, you are going to enjoy.

May the twenty five years of experience, so far, prepared you sufficiently to comfortably weather the next sets of twenty five years; and that the following twenty-five-year sets will provide you even better and more fulfilling life experiences.

In the meantime, may you have a Very Happy and Very Memorable 25th Birthday Celebration today - with Mommy's and Daddy's financial, help, of course.

Love,

Mommy and Daddy
