OFFICIAL PROPOSAL FOR MOM & DAD'S ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Proposed Date: Tuesday, December 27th, 2005 (community centres are closed from Dec. 24th-26th and Dec. 31-Jan 2nd)
Hall: South Common Community Centre ($300.00) - Capacity is 80 OR Mom & Dad's apt hall
Guests: Each family is allowed to invite 10 people (friends/co-workers; for the people in the USA, please have hotel accomodations for the guests you would like to invite as well as their own transportation)
Food: Catered by one of Susan's friends catering company - Filipino food, 6 courses + 2 desserts ($500.00)
Drinks: Soda, water, alcohol (beer & liqour) ($100.00)
Decorations: Untensils, plates, cups, tablecloth, streamers, balloons, signs, giveaways ($100.00-$200.00)
Priest: $50.00 + all the money from the guests contribution from the special mass
Emergency money: $100.00
If you are all in agreement to this proposal, please let me know ASAP so that the planning can go through. The next steps will be to work on distribution of assignments. Please respond ASAP.

PS: Janice and Ernan Joy will be hosting this party...they will also be the MAIN party planners...of course, they will have the help from Joyce, Cristina, Albert, Chris and Kathy who will think of special things to do for that night. And the main money contributors will of course be us siblings...I hope that my neice (Sheila) and nephews (Jean & Paolo) will also help with the money.

talked to my friend tonight who works for the city of mississauga and the same person who "hooked" us up with the hall for the saka-saca party and he said he will try again. but YES, please still contact mom & dad's super.
anyway, the catering company we know is a friend of susan's. she is a well known caterer and has catered many filipino parties. she is GOOD and reliable.
a sample of her menu is:
1. roast beef (mashed potato included)
2. kaldereta/minudo
3. pansit bihon
4. embutido
5. chop suey
6. fried chicken
7. dessert (pichi-pichi and kutsinta)
this will feed about 80 adults. cheaper food will be chinese. but i believe it will be our last resort as chinese food is NOT very elegant for a wedding celebration.

Otherwise, I will be very late in responding or not at all and I don't want that to be taken as a lack of interest in participation of this event and hurt people's feelings. We are very excited about this occassion and milestone and will contribute as much as we can. Thanks.

Thanks for the good news on the hall! Please ask the super what is the capacity, restrictions, time, and rules for the hall.
Also, please ask one of ur kids to check out the place and see if it is suitable for us.
Please tell Cristina that if she wants Chinese food, it will be a lot cheaper!!
I will talk to Father Joel on Saturday before or after his mass.
