The Sisons Are In America

With the greatest fanfare that this simple blog will allow, we are proud and very glad to announce that the Sisons have finally arrived in the U.S. of A.

Well, not all six of them but three is enough for now and the rest of them will follow, hopefully, in the near future.

Uncle Willy, Auntie Marlene, and cousin Janna, arrived at the Norfolk International Airport in Norfolk, VA on September 1, 2005 at approximately 3:30pm.

It was a very emotional, teary and yet joyous reunion for all concerned. After all, it's been years that we have not seen each other. For us, the Cabotajes in Canada, it's almost exactly fifteen years, the last time being September 1990, when our beloved Grandma P passed away. Much as their arrival almost coincided with such a sad anniversary, I believe we have all consciously blocked the sad memory and instead thought of the event as the fulfillment (or near fulfillment) of Grandma P's cherished dreams for all of us.

Welcome to America, Marlene, Willy and Janna. May all your hopes and dreams and all our hopes and dreams for your coming be fulfilled, and soon.
