BRRRRRR!

It's been really cold here in our place since Thursday. It was also cold before that (except Wednesday which was a weirdly warm day) but the last few days is nothing that any of you American cousins, except those of you in Chicago, can ever imagine.

Inspite of that, we still have to go to work and go to school and pretend that it is all normal. All we can say or do is blurt a long sigh and rationalize that there is nothing we can do.

And then again, why complain? The alternative, which is to go back home to the Philippines, is not that much more desirable.

Speaking about the Philippines, I'd be there in a jiffy if only for a little respite from the cold. Alas, a few things is in the way, not the less of them is an insufficient bank account. For now I can only dream ... in the cold.
